In all seriousness what hurt him was his three road games against the other top three teams in the league. The people voting did not miss the fact that he didn't play as well in those games (i.e. was only 2-of-20 from three in those games) and his team was 2-4. Marshall didn't have to win the regular season for Elmore to get POY. He just needed a better showing against the top teams in the league and maybe won at least one of the other four games. No player in the country has the ball in his hands as much as Elmore sans maybe that freshman at Oklahoma. When you always possess the ball you're going to have a lot of stats. POY isn't just about stats. Again, not sure why that's so hard to comprehend.

Let's put this discussion to rest. King is POY, and we just wanted to for our man on a wonderful night.

I think it's safe to say if they would allow for CO-POY, both would be considered. I've said my peace. Seasons over, now we're in this together.
