Mark Patton
FYI. The German league (in the past) has been rather weak, but with France and some other traditionally attractive countries not paying what they should (not to mention that mess with Israel and Lebanon), Germany is landing some big names for the season and improving its overall stature in European basketball. The team Patton is on just moved up from Division II (2Bund.), so they are kind of a wildcard.

Mark Patton to Paderborn! - Aug. 21, 2006 - by Michael Taylor
Paderborn added rookie big man Mark Patton to their roster for the 2006-2007 season. A West Virgnia native and Marshall University product, Patton led the Thundering Herd in scoring (14.8ppg) and rebounding (6.9reb) per game last season. During his senior season, the aggressive rebounding Patton grabbed more offensive boards (97) than defensive (87). At 6'9, Patton possess the agility and ability to play both the power forward and center positions which should benefit his new team this season. Paderborn expects the CourtSide talent Patton to participate in the Monday evening exhibition game which would give Patton his first chance to play with his new teammates. Named to the Conference USA 3rd team as a senior, Patton produced excellent games at South Carolina State (28 pts and 9 rebs), vs Rice (26 pts and 9 rebs) and at SMU (36 pts and 13 boards).
