UTEP star from the past hates gay people
Just saw it on the news (one of the top stories). Tim Hardaway made some over the top comments on his feelings towards John Amaechi coming out of the closet. Hardaway said on a Miami radio station he hates gay people and he's homophobic. Apology and a comment saying his words were taken out of context no doubt to come.....

No way could it be taken out of context, he meant every word and even repeated it more than once. One phase missing from all the discussion is the interviewer cautioning him on what he was saying, etc and how would he, Tim, feel if someone criticized him for being black. Tim replied that well that would be the persons opinion to which he is entitled, same as his right to dislike gays.

I hate it it when people try to compare the plight of gay people to blacks. The two are definitely NOT the same.

If Tim Hardaway does not like gay people it is fine with me. it should really be no big deal.

So if I said I hated black people (which I must clear up, I don't) it would be a big deal to you? Are gays more or less people than black people? Hating any people group regardless of race or make up is wrong.

wtf?
Hardaway issued a statement Wednesday night to Local 10 saying: "There are more important things to worry about than my comments. We should be more concerned about President (George) Bush and all the people dying in Iraq."

Maybe Tim Hardaway should just not talk for awhile. Just not speak.

Sure you can say whatever you want. You can say you want to bone Satan's daughter then cut her head off. But thanks for reminding me what my rights are.

I was saying that in response so he wouldn't make himself look like a flippin idiot to half the people in the country. It's one bad quote after another with that guy. Not saying I disagree with him, just saying a lot people get affended by that.

I don't hate "gays" - no pont in that. On the other hand, I would not want a queer in the showers with me, same way a woman would not want me in there with her.

But he loves David Duke, so the black comparisons may have him confused.
