Wow, clearly rational thought and deductive logic aren't your strong suit.
Allow me to explain, and I'll be sure and use small words for your benefit.
If the Big East splits, it will be, again, due to football. Right now there are 7 schools that aren't part of the football side. Depaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, Seaton Hall, St. Johns and Villanova. Along with full members Cincy, UCONN, UL, Notre Dame (minus football), Pitt, Rutgers, USF, Cuse and WVU that makes up a 16 team conference.
If they split, it will be by adding 3 more full member schools for a 12 team, all sports league, under the assumption that Notre Dame would become a full member including football. That's where Memphis comes in. This has been discussed many, many times here. I guess it just hasn't sunk in with you.
That leaves the rest of the schools that don't play football to form a new conference. They'll need to add schools to it and that means Charlotte will be candidate.
Let me know if you need some pictures to make it clearer for you. In the mean time, if you're going to insist on making an ass of yourself, think before you do it. Granted I know that's a chore but you can at least make the effort.
