I honestly feel that our mediocre front line is better than Louisville's,  and I believe that our all around talent is better than theirs.  IMO, these teams are evenly matched.  What does it say when one team ranked #6 in the country; is 29-4 and a potential #1 seed, and the other is going to play in the NIT?

The team has been playing on borrowed time and history has proven that 99% of the time, something will prevent you from winning 4 games in a row.  I feel as badly as anyone does about what happened today, but in the end I think (feel free to flame away) that they got what they deserved.

This team was like a student who does not study for the entire semester and then tries to cram in 24 hours of studying the day before their final exam.

Maybe DWash could have done a few more wind sprints during the season and he has the extra inch on those two last free throws.  Maybe Hunt works harder and is in better condition and he doesn't get injured.  Maybe Dorsey learns to run the offense properly and play tough defense in practice every day.  Maybe Banks takes care of work in the classroom and realizes that he is part of a team.  The bottom line is that this team did not do ANY of the things that it had to do to be good all season, and the blame extends from Cal all the way down to Thiero.

Does this mean that next year the players will come out and do everything that they have to in order to be the best that they can be?  Nope.  Incredibly, it might be the same story next year.  One thing is for sure though.  Every player on the team knows EXACTLY how harsh the penalty and how high the price is when you don't do what needs to be done.
In case you care what a Louisville fan thinks, which I doubt, I agree with you. I resented Memphis this year because your team underachieved with top 10-15 talent which can only be a bad thing for those you associate with in conference. It sucked because we knew that Memphis was capable of playing at an elite level even though the tigers had laid HUGE, MIND-BOGGLING eggs throughout the season. Thus you come into our house with a horrible record and a high RPI, play with an edge and blow us out of the gym. A terrible loss on paper. There is no doubt in my mind that you have more talent on your team than Louisville does this year. Sean Banks leaving was no doubt a good thing for your team but lest we forget 4 losses to end the season, losing to a horrible SLU squad is just as bad as losing to LA Tech with Banks on the team. Your failures rest solely at the feet of your head coach imo. The motivation and preparation of the team are his responsibilities whether the game is against Louisville or Little Sisters of the Poor.
About the coaching and preparation , that goes for your little ricky and the lack of coaching he must have done when we ate you up at home, as if you were the sisters of the poor!
Sorry, but you asked for it.
