NIU is sure jealous of NU, seeing how NU has gone bowling 6 times in the past 11 years while NIU has gone only once. Heck NU has gone bowling more often in the past 11 years than NIU and U of I combined. Maybe that's not saying alot considering the sorry state of IL public university football over the past decade but it's just another thing Cat fans can take pride in. NU has won or shared 3 Big 10 conference titles in the past 11 years, a feat that is matched or exceeded only by OSU & MI, very impressive for a medium sized private university with high academic standards playing in a conference dominated by state universities with much larger budgets and enrollments.
