My wife called me from her work several weeks ago. A man in her office wanted to buy Gonzaga tickets, and the ticket office had not opened sales to non-boosters. He wanted to know if I could get them tickets. So I called the ticket office and found out there were plenty of $12 tickets available. I called my wife to find out how many he wanted. She calls back and says he said no thanks, he didn't want anything upstairs. I went ahead that day and ordered ours, and I'll report on how the seats are after the game.
This guy wasn't a relocated season ticket holder. He's one of the thousands of real, but casual, Tiger basketball fans that we've always had, and he already has the upstairs bias. Take it for what it's worth.
let me get this straight...a NON-supporter thought they could get lower level for Gonzaga ? lmfao

no, he is a "casual" fan, which means that he wants good lower-level seats only for the big games.

Re: Cal scolds the city for not selling out the Forum tonigh
greekwolf Wrote:On the radio show, Cal just said that he was really disappointed that we didn't sell out the Forum for the # 4 team in the nation.
He knew that his comments would upset some people, but emphasized that we're not a national program right now. Pointed out that schools like Kentucky and Louisville would have sold out the game tonight. He didn't sound too happy about it.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm gonna have to arrange my work schedule next season to be off EVERY home game, no matter what. I've always thought that if we lose Calipari to another school, it'll be due to his disgust with the mediocre crowds. I think he's given the city a mulligan over the last few years, considering how we've underachieved, but there aren't any excuses now.
He's right and he shouldn't be disappointed, We Should be.! To many people that have tickets don't make sure they are going to be used if they aren't going. Give them to to some needing family, let someone on Cal's staff know i'm sure they can find someone to use them.
