You know i just reread that quote and it makes more sense to me now than it did when i wrote it.What part of expansion coming between Duke and UNC home and home rivalry did you not understand?It's the biggest rivalry in college basketball plain and simple.This may be hard hard for fans outside this state to understand but it's true like it or not.

it is not coming in between the rivalry...the two teams will be in the same division and will play the same number of games...have you been following this at all?

so, once again, how is this affecting the UNC-Duke rivalry?

I ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION. The mere uncertainty about the rivalry is enough to prove that it is shaky... adding 3 teams will change the whole dimension and format of games... it WILL change the rivalry... how? No one can say yet... but it will, that is damn obvious.

can't link an audio tape...sorry smartass...there are more sources of information out there than the internet...I have an interview with GW from a week or so ago...maybe instead of scouring the internet for you information and then basing your opinions about rivalries and such on that info, you can go out to the sources and have you questions answered...probably not though, huh?

and also, why would Coach K, all the sudden change his mind and support expansion after he saw the plans...seems to me that he thinks the rivalry will be fine, do you not trust him....

This quote just goes to show that UNC is really, for all practical intents and purposes, just a one sport school also. Not surprising, considering that UNC fans are willing to riot after losing to Duke in basketball, but leave shortly after halftime when the GT or FSU football team is pounding them by 20 points or more. :rolleyes:
