that their athletics, overall, is better than Maryland's (#6). Congratulations to Wake (#5), couldn't happen to a better and classier group of fans. Duke at #24 ain't too bad though... just not better than Maryland.

YES! You just set yourself up for this by saying "The numbers don't lie".

In the final sears cup standings, for the past 4 years, and probably a long time past that (I just don't have the info on it) Duke has been either #1 or #2 in the ACC in overall athletics. UNC is also either #1 or #2. Maryland... 3rd, 4th, 5th, basically behind Duke, EVERY YEAR.

Anyone see the SI rankings? Duke was like 18th, and Maryland was like 32nd, IIRC.

Duke #23, Maryland #32

Maryland #19, Duke #28 ( )

BTW... the reason Maryland is so high right now, is because their spring sports are piss poor, and their fall sports are very good. Duke's fall sports are fair, but our spring sports are awesome (golf, tennis, lax). 24th right now is very good position, and it will probably end up Duke, top 10, and Maryland top 30. Mark my words.

I knew I'd draw some attention... just rattlin' the cage brodie. Actually, I really don't care either way because from understanding it's either Stanford or Pepperdine that's wins it regardless. Weez be on da rong coast mah bruddah!

Yes, your women's lacrosse team is absolutely unbelievable. What's it now? 15 national titles?

That's all you have going for you this year. Lax will be 4th in the ACC, IMO, and just because you are better than us at baseball doesn't mean you're any good. Baseball isn't one of our strongpoints.

I totally forgot about our dominant women's lax team. Our's mens team isn't bad either. Also, believe it or not, our baseball team is advancing quickly too! Thanks DT2!

Stanford is a great college and deserving of a lot more accolades than they get. Woods, Mussina, Elway, and Jacobsen are just a few names from almost three different generations in three different sporting venues to go to the top of the mountain. 04-bow
