Oddball, I'm interested in what you think of this report from yesterday's <a href='http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/11/01/AR2005110101644.html' target='_blank'>Washington Post</a>:

Quote:The CIA has been hiding and interrogating some of its most important al Qaeda captives at a Soviet-era compound in Eastern Europe, according to U.S. and foreign officials familiar with the arrangement.

The secret facility is part of a covert prison system set up by the CIA nearly four years ago that at various times has included sites in eight countries, including Thailand, Afghanistan and several democracies in Eastern Europe, as well as a small center at the Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba, according to current and former intelligence officials and diplomats from three continents.

The hidden global internment network is a central element in the CIA's unconventional war on terrorism. It depends on the cooperation of foreign intelligence services, and on keeping even basic information about the system secret from the public, foreign officials and nearly all members of Congress charged with overseeing the CIA's covert actions.

The existence and locations of the facilities--referred to as "black sites" in classified White House, CIA, Justice Department and congressional documents--are known to only a handful of officials in the United States and, usually, only to the president and a few top intelligence officers in each host country.

Isn't it amazing how upset Oddball and the rest of the Angry Left pretend to be about the so-called outing of Plame?
The sound you don't hear is their outrage at the Post's exposing something that really is covert and vital to national security.

You keep holding on to that junior.

Quote:He stated in his press conference that there was no way to indict at this time due to the degree of lying and covering up done by this administration.

I've seen several people like you say this but that's not he said. He said the process is "frustrated" when people don't tell the truth but the FBI and investigators have to deal with lies all the time.

The fact is if he thought the leaking of the name constituted a crime, he would have indicted on it as well.

Quote:Plame's identity was classified information. Revealing her identity put many other agents at risk.

Proof? Please note your opinion, the opinion of the DNC, moveon.org, democraticunderground, Howard Dean, Saint Joe Wilson etc. don't qualify as proof.

Quote:That is traitorous no matter how you flat-earthers spin it and circle jerk over it.

You are clearly obsessed with circle jerks. Clearly you must have vast experience with it.

What's really hilarious is I'm sure you're considered one of the greatest minds of your party. That's why you lose in national election after national election.

What's amazing is how you want to change the subject away from what a Republican prosecutor like Fitzgerald had to say and discuss something totally irrellevant. There was nothing "so-called" about Plame being outed. Read the indictment, Pookie.

Au contraire, mon frere. Fitzgerald and I agree 100% on this. The indictment you quote does not allege that Valerie Plame was a covert CIA agent. Indeed, Mr. Wilson says the same in his book, although it has been thoroughly discredited at this point so I wouldn't consider him a reliable source on the matter.

My mistake, I thought we were discussing the what is and isn't exposition of covert information.

Wait. What?

Wrong on all counts. Unless, of course, you find your semantic tricks to be amusing, then by all means...continue. :snore:

This is addressing the issue. I addressed the issue over and over in your moronic Animal House thread and you continually avoided it because you couldn't counter my arguments.

You truly are pathetic. YOu don't even recognize someone addressing the issue when they're doing it.

Seriously, Oddball, your position appears to be that making classified information public results in danger to those involved in such classified activity and is therefore "treasonous", to wit:

Quote:Plame's identity was classified information. Revealing her identity put many other agents at risk.

Clearly the Washington Post has exceeded your standard by several orders of magnitude, and yet...?

And by all means if I am misstating your position, clear it up for us.

more self-description? your own, limited, qualifications perhaps?

your act was monotonous the last time you took it on the road, and it still is. try the kos folks; they'll find you entertaining no doubt.

this place exists as a subforum on a sports message board. in sports language, your team is still down about 76-2, and your team's electoral losing streak is added to by the year. very little comfort for lord flaming asshats in the demographic trends either. but then, i'm a member of the flat earth society.
