Does this need a congressional hearing?? Since when does congress care about baseball? Let baseball worry about baseball.

As soon as baseball does that, I will agree with you. They need a commissioner. Having an owner in that spot has been like having the fox guarding the hen house.

if all of this is killing baseball, why did MLB and MiLB set attendance records in 2004?

Well, you have to look at baseball currently and what it would be like without steroids. Would fans still come out if the dinger weren't so prevelant?

Baseball has an anti-trust agreement, therefore they are always under the watchful eye of Congress. Personally, I think the anti-trust agreement should be pulled, there is no reason why they should have it.

I agree. When it becomes something like this, I.e. congressional oversight, etc., it ain't an effin game anymore, therefore, I have no damn interest in watching it. Good Lawd people, what have we become?

It's an easy target, I.e. kinda like the NAACP going up against the flag in SC as opposed to the social problems happening in the inner city. It's an effin bandaid to show, "well, we did this". If my congressman was to tell me that I'd kick his *** out of congress as fast as I could. Let me hear about Norwood being on this. People, we are at war, we have MAJOR problems with SS, we need to get rid of the IRS, and all they do is question the MLB and vote themselves raises? Get the &^$# out of here.

I will never enjoy a full season of baseball until this is taken care of. This is sad...to tarnish a whole sport by people cheating. That's wrong. Take every one of them out of the record books...never mention them again. Take everything they have. Teach them a lesson, as well as all kids/youth.
