Apparently there is this sport known as, Hockey (is that the correct spelling?). They meet secretly underground during winter and hold an annual event at the end of the season to decide who gets the, I think it's the Stanley Cup. Well anyway, there has been a work stoppage and their season is cancled. This is the first I've heard of the sport. Anyone with any details, please fill me in.

peace.

Seriously, I'd rather watch video of myself peeling an orange (which can be entertaing, and rewarding. The peeling of the orange, not me watching the event).

As greedy as baseball players, I don't think so. A few seasons ago, the Toronto Maple Leafs players agreed as a team to take pay cuts in order to keep their team together and to help out their owner. The Leafs had made it to the conference finals and felt that adding one or two big stars would put them in the Stanley Cup finals. Unfortunately, this won't happen due to the lockout and cancellation.

Gary Betteman on the other hand:

Commish -> :chair: <- ME

I've been to Canada and its a great place. I really do recommend taking a vacation there if you get a chance, especially during the summer months.

Well, looks like a deal may have been made between the NHLPA and the NHL as the season is going to be uncancelled tomorrow. Thank you!

I like Hockey...its a psort you have to attend in Person to really get into it....its not a tv game IMO.

That said I prefer Olympic Hockey over NHL version. And I don't follow hockey very close either.

I did go see the Hurricanes play the Maple Leafs in the ECFs a few years ago at hte RBC....wow the atmosphere was incredible....my ears rang for days afterwards!!!
