Rix was in the game only because of our situation at the QB spot. McPherson is injured, and Walker is the next in line, but Walker hardly knows the system the way Rix and McPherson does. If you looked close enough, except for the part about Rix being left in the game for so long, the starting WR's were out or being rotated in and out during the 3rd quarter, our RB's Greg Jones, and Nick Maddox were done and only saw minimal playing time half way through the 3rd, even though Jones did have a 10 yd TD run in the 4th, there was Willie Reid, Thomas Clayton,Leon Washington and Torrance Washington, all in the backfield during the second half. Thats the problem with teams, sometimes they will accuse another team of keeping a player in or running up the score when actually thats wrong. Alot of teams will have so much talent and depth that a certain team might not ever miss a beat on the field. When all or most of the starters are on the bench and that score is still going up on the scoreboard it may seem that your defense is playing the first team offense when actually your playing against 2nd and 3rd team players. Get enough talent and you can rotate through out the game to keep players fresh in the 4th quarter

Well said...G&G
Florida State played a total of 57 players...IN THE FIRST HALF!
We've been doing that for 13 years. Mickey Andrews once asked...former Valdosta High Coach...
Tates Bazemore...How his teams were always so
powerful? The answer..."I play next year's team,
this year. Hell, Florida State played 11
defensive linemen and 7 linebackers in the first
quarter. Along with 7 defensive backs.
That's always been the different. All of our
top 22's match up with everyone else...But it
is the top 44 and then the top 66 that separates
us from everyone else.
How 'Bout tailback...Jones, Maddux, Reid, Clayton
Washington and we're red-shirting the National HS
player of the year...Lorenzo Booker!
