you're right, though i don't think kent's opinion counts because like dusty baker kent just wants to steal the spotlight and discredit bonds.

No, most WR's flourish when they have other good WR's. Price is a perfect example, he didn't excel in Buff b/c of the QB, he did well b/c of Moulds...and Moulds did well b/c Price was around.
That's what makes Moss so incredible...he doesn't need a complimentarly player to be top of the heap.
But the point is, T.O. dropped alot of balls last season. Maybe it was just a bad year and bad attitude...but no way would anyone argue he was the best offensive player.

Moss is an excellent talent, no doubt. But he's mostly a one-trick pony - send him deep and throw it up. His speed is incredible, and he can jump through the roof, but send him across the middle with Rodney Harrison back there and watch his arms shrink.
TO is a tough player, but what exactly have the Niners won with him? It should tell you something about how important the Niners think he is to their plans that they were perfectly willing to lose him for nothing. They got a 2nd round pick out of it, so they're happy.
It's a great trade for the Ravens, assuming Billick can get him focused. Personally, I think Billick trusts his ability to mold a team too much, and this could backfire, but with an O that needs more of a passing threat, you can't do much worse talent-wise than TO.
Chemistry *is* important in sports. TO is a gamble for that reason. Baseball, IMO, is a different animal. Much of that sport is based on individuals and their performance.

Looks like the 49ers pulled a switcheroo....
The Eagles thought they had Terrell Owens for themselves. According to phillyBurbs.com, the Web site for a chain of three suburban Philadelphia newspapers, the Eagles agreed to a deal in principle to acquire the superstar receiver March 4, only to have the 49ers turn the tables by sealing a deal with the Ravens instead. Owens and agent David Joseph were furious, according to the Web site, which serves the Calkins Newspapers chain. Joseph told league officials March 4 he plans to file a grievance against the 49ers, and union chief Gene Upshaw is reportedly already involved in the process.

John Clayton said on the Dan Patrick Show that the Eagles offered SF James Thrash and a 5th round pick for Owens. Is there a man alive that would actually agree to that offer? So they went to the Ravens who offered a 2nd round draft pick. Even that is a little light, but considering it had to get done, I could do a 2nd.

Well some of that depends on the cap space you're trying to create (it's better than cutting the guy.) But, I agree that's very light. Thrash and the 2nd round pick...that seems more like it.
If B'more gets the guy, they get a good break. Ray Lewis keeps folks in line.

Here's more about the grievance. Owens said Philly was his "A" choice all along.

boy i'd like really like to have owens on my team! He's already whining like a little ******, that he would rather play in Philly. That'll do wonders for the attitude in the locker room.
