I had Comcast Internet installed last night. If I go through Mozella Firebird I can log on anywhere. If I go through IE I cannot log onto the Insiders sites. What gives?

On MSIE... cannot log on? As in, won't let you login with correct info, or it forgets your login information?

Couple of things now that you have seen the question. If I activate my McAfee firewall, I cannot connect to Comcast. Whats up with that? Second, when I try to log in on the Insiders site going through Mozilla, it works. If I try going through IE, it wont let me log in after I am on their sites. I want my kids to use IE as I dont want them on Mozilla so I can keep that to myself. Any advice is appreciated.

McAfee's firewall is very "stupid" -- download ZoneAlarm and use that as your firewall. It's free, much better, and won't give you any crap like that.

I cannot give a good explanation for the MSIE problem with The Insiders... but I cannot give a good explanation for MSIE needing 5x the memory Firebird does to perform slower.

If you want Mozilla Firebird to yourself... create a shortcut on the desktop... then rename it and change the icon to something dull like a document icon. Bet they won't bother with it.

What OS are you running? Are you caching any passwords? Do you have cookies enabled? GET RID OF MCAFEE! Even that zonealarm crud is better than mcafee.
