People have trashed the MAC because it's fans cannot praise their own conference without trashing other conferences. It is totally your own fault.

Hey there chief, I said the school was tiny. Try responding to what I wrote, not what you mistakenly believe:

U Miss- Undergraduates full-time: 9,794

BG- Undergraduates 14,615 full-time

And the funny thing about that Torch, is that Ole Miss is still has better sports teams and programs than BG WITH LESS STUDENTS. As you pointed out. 04-bow

If you think BG is better in football than Ole Miss then you're crazy.

-Ole Miss has better sports facilities
-Ole Miss is in a MUCH tougher basketball conference
-That meeting was in 2001, big whoop
-They went to the Cotton Bowl and won this year, what bowl did BG go to?
-Baseball: Ole Miss 35-27(numerous wins over top 40 opponents, most losses to top 40 opponents) also in one of the top 3 toughest conferences, BG 17-28 in the measly MAC(really tough schedule...0 teams in top 40 when you played them or at the end of season)

Ole Miss sports > BG Sports 03-puke

Try again:

It's called research. You ought to try it sometime.

While played? :roflol: :roflol: :roflol:

You are desperate! The rankings matter most at the end of the season, when the evaluations have something to go on.

See, MAC folks think the games actually mean something. You know wins and (in Ol Miss's case) losses. It doesn't surprise me that southerners just want a beauty contest of preseason rankings. Frankly, football is a bit rough for teams like Ol Miss and Ga Tech.

And yes, BG was better than Ol Miss in football in 2003. Like I said, BG only lost to 2 teams, both were in the Top 10. BG also beat a Top 20 team on the road, and a team that finished 10-2, and should have been ranked.

Ol Miss lost to 3 teams, 2 of which didn't even end up ranked. They beat no teams whose final ranking (and most accurate) put them in the Top 20.

That's if you put alot of stock in rankings. Half of those are overblown while good teams get ignored, obviously seen by the MAC teams' low ranking. MAC teams won big games, you know the point of the whole thing...if it's a popularity contest, then MAC teams are on the outside. No question. But, at the end of the day, MAC teams had the wins.

Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
How much BG football did you see?

And you tried to make the point about Ol Miss being better...I just provided the objective material, the only recent head-to-head meeting. Keep coming w/ the subjective materials...someone might care.

.....and again, you open your mouth and prove you're an idiot. The rankings on ESPN that you looked at are the rankings of the teams WHILE THEY PLAYED. NOT pre-season rankings. Damn, you are dumn.

since final rankings are so important, what was Ole Miss's final ranking vs BG's final ranking? That is, if you put a lot of stock in that sort of thing :D

You are a bit predictable.

This is also great. I think if you'll look it up, Ole Miss and GT have more NCs than the MAC combined.

as are you. The brunt of every post you put up is..."SEC can not hold a candle to MAC" "Most MAC teams are better than Ole Miss" "we are a superior conference, but are not media darlings"

Just checked it out Torch.

SEC-----19 National Championships

ACC-----7 National Championships

GT------3 National Championships

MAC---0 National Championships

Yep, that SEC and GT are some weak teams.

I'll tell you right now what the rebuttal will be (not because I do or do not agree but because this argument is becoming more and more predictable):

The NCAA does not sanction a national championship in college football. (Or something like that)

Actually the rebuttal will be: stick to this year. That's what I was talking about.

But, it's standard fare for Rebeldupe to change the subject. He gets burned at every point he brings up, so he jumps to the another one.

Here's a tip RebelKev, I'm precise in the topics I write about, and I'm right about them...It keeps me from all that back-pedalling, and throwing up straw man arguments like you do.

Sooooooo, now we're just talking about this year.

Hmmmm, k, gotcha. When history doesn't fit your agenda you mold the timeframe to make yourself look better. Man, you really are pathetic. If that's your damn point, where do you get off saying the SEC-W is a weak conference since THIS year we won the NC?

1 good year does not a good team make mow-ron.
