Nate is 16? You gotta be freaking kidding me!

He's well-read to be so young.

When I was 16, I didn't give a fock, just as long as my girlfriend took off her panties!

Nate is very much unlike his peers. Most teenagers I know think war is the utmost example of patriotism. Most teenagers I know who've expressed an opinion about it say that we should have gone to war earlier. Most have said we should take over all nations of the earth and make them Americans and that way we won't have enemies.

And, I know some teenagers who just want their girlfriends to shirk their panties!

Nate wouldn't support fighting China if they were to invade the USA. He has been on record as saying we should have called up Japan after 12/7/41 and say, "That's OK, we forgive you and still love you" and NOT retaliate because he said that's what Jesus would do. Don't view his dislike for me as support for you. He has no concept of what it takes to protect anything. He has also stated that if he came in and someone was raping his mother, he'd pray.

Me? I'd pray that my aim was straight.

You've hit a new low, there, Kev!
Honestly Nate, and I hate bringing up age, but you are 16. What could you POSSIBLY know about the country and its health other than what you hear from others? It's akin to the Real World on MTV. It's not the "Real World" when others are footing the bill for the home, etc. Get on your own and then talk to us.
I hate to bring this up, since I've tried to drill it in your brain enough... but Christian doctrine does not change. Christ does not come every week and tell us what to do in the world. He has left us one thing, the Bible (most specifically the New Testament). That New Testament was God's showing of trading judgment for forgiveness. Through Christ, we were taught to love our enemies and pray for them. Does that mean that we must let evil be free with impunity? Hell no! However, killing is not an option. How could you possibly kill something you love? Furthermore, I'm taking this straight from St. Augustine, so this is not my own thought, but follow me for a second... If humans exist, surely they are made of God. God is in each and every one of us. It's impossible to speak of God in "larger and smaller parts", so therefore God is in each of us equal amounts. So, by killing a human being, are you not killing the God that lives inside of him? Hating a human being enough to kill him or her, is that not hating the God inside of him or her? This isn't exactly what Augustine thought, seeing as he was the first Christian to make rules for a holy war, but much of that was his logic.

You're right that I've never experience war or the evil healthcare system of the US. Paul, Stephen, Timothy and others did face war soon after Christ, and were persecuted for their belief in Christ. Their beliefs remained steadfast, and I can only hope that mine would too. Dietrich Bonhoeffer is another name to throw out there... Been trying to get you American Christians to read up on him, but to no avail. http://www.dbonhoeffer.org

As to the whole Japan thing, I never said that they shouldn't be punished. That's ridiculous. Call them up, tell them that we love and forgive them, but forgiveness does not come without accountability. **** up their trading and economy a bit, and they would hopefully learn from killing innocent people as they did.

When Christ was put on the cross, who did he immediately turn to? The father... "Eloi! Eloi! Lama Sabachtani?" Ever heard that phrase before? Christ did not fight the soldiers, he turned to God, and John to tell him to take care of Mary, the mother of God. It is very clear that Christ turned nowhere but to God during the time of his death. Speaking of his death, do you American Christians realize that Christ was victim of the death penalty, WRONGLY? Come on, that's a blatant slap in Christ's face to think the death penalty is "moral" or especially, "necessary".

BTW... what could I know about the country and its health? I know that we have decided to piss off the Arab world in the wake of Sept. 11th. The malice that the 9/11 hijackers had is the same kind many Arabs have right now. I know many Palestinian Christians, who have hated the suicide bombings in Israel, and have been fairly ProUS... hoping that one day our politicans would wake up and realize WTF they are doing in the middle east. Many have become exhausted... with us fighting Iraq, giving Israel yet MORE money, talking about invading Syria, Lebanon, who knows wherelse...

I know that our country loves to kill. We have become such great murderers, probably the best murderers in the history of mankind and on a relative scale have the most dominating military ever (possibly save Rome around 3 AD). I know that our killing has become so good that we can kill without being killed. Has it ever happened in the history of mankind that people have been able to kill thousands upon thousands, while only losing very few? AND... if our military wanted to, we could have killed every single person in Iraq without losing a single soldier.

We are THAT good at killing.

I also know that our president is a puppet. He just sits up there as the president so that the conservative policies can keep on getting put in place. Bush has absolutely no original ideas, thought or leadership. He's just like many other Republican presidents... Dumb, uneducated and insistent on killing.

Rick, you say Clark is blowing sunshine up our collective arses. Let me see if I get this straight.

Bush, still AWOL from his Guard squad, I presume, has the sufficient military skill and know how to deal with the newest kind of war.

The one we've been waging on the rest of the world for the past century, turned back on us.

Clark, a four star general, would *not* know anything more than an ex-alcoholic coke head frat boy about directing a military campaign of ANY size?

Is that right? I just want to be sure I'm clear about your position here. . .

(excuse me :roflol: )

And Kevie. Aww, Kev. We are critical because we LOVE this country and want to see it return to its former glory days (the 90's). Would you rather us just stand up and cheerlead a loser like Bush? A guy who fixes the numbers on economic reports to suit him, borrows from other nations (5% of our GDP, last I heard. . .when Argentina experienced their out of control inflation, their debt level was 8% of their GDP so that's a pretty serious number) instead of TRULY being a fiscal conservative. . .

I could go on, but I just want to keep on topic here. So what do you think about the whole Clark v. Bush thing? How can you honestly say you support a coward over a guy who's been there? What is wrong with you?

Can I call you irrational? Will that make you cry? :stupid:

Woops! Somebody get rid of that personal attack icon, willya?

That is the question that seems to repeatedly go unanswered, isn't it? Chickenhawk vs. War Hero.

Luckily, the Cons have out-self-righteoused the Lefties again.

Silence is so much more noble than mere agrument. Add in the condescension bonus and you've got well you've got the neocon Reaganite, live and in 3D.

Why live within the rule of law when you can skirt it, eh Cons?
