Yes, considering I've wrote two research papers on the topic, I'd have to agree.

Well, I took intermediate composition last year cause I wanted an easy class. Come to find out the teacher kicked our a**es in it. :bang:

We had to do a comparison-contrast essay. I did college basketball and the NBA. I got an A. :D

How can you say that college is better than the pros?? The level of play is far lower, and there is such an inbalance between the good and bad teams. What is every college player fighting for, the chance to make it to the pros.

10,000 jumping loud fans > 40,000 sitting waiting for a LeBron dunk

hustles through every play > slow-paced game with a bunch of guys not giving it their all the whole time

College > NBA

Disagree, most of the college athletes playing never even have a sniff at making the pros and they know it.

Major big time college sports players may be playing to make the pros, but they are the exception.

Despite my undying love for Steve Blake.....College is definitely better than pros. The College players are definitely not all selfish and worried about money...they still are playing because they enjoy the sport...well at least most of them are...They want to have fun. Meanwhile the NBA players each year get more and more worried about how much money they are making and which team will pay them the most. That is with the exception of Steve and Juan...when they play at the same time they definitely look like they're having the time of their lives.

I can't agree more. I love the NBA, but there are certainly major flaws in the thinking of its players. I do agree though that the level of play in the NBA is far greater, every player on the floor can play. But college basketball only needs one argument. MARCH MADNESS BABY!!! 04-rock

It depends why you watch basketball. If you watch for the excitement and to follow your team, its college. If you want to watch the best basketball players in the world put on a show, watch the NBA.

College basketball players want to win championships.
NBA players think, "Hey, if I wrap my weed in tin foil maybe the airport detector won't go off."

how can you make a statement like that? I figured you of all people would be more sensible than that. I would've thought you'd understand that not every player is a moron or druggie like Stoudemire. Just because these guys ask for more money doesn't mean they're selfish, and they definitely DO love basketball. They play hard.

i do agree that the NBA sucks, simply because of; 1)the zone defense 2) it's become an anti-fast break, one on one half-court, isolation game. College is much more upbeat, but when you watch college, it's hard to miss how much lower the skill level is. many teams barely score 10 pts. in the first 8 minutes.

Im sure that Steve and Juan are the only pro players having fun. If you go to a college, and they have a team, sure its excting to root for them, but in general the NBA is much better

That was a joke. Of course there are exceptions in the NBA. That was the reason I posted it seperately, so nobody would take it seriously and as part of my argument. I guess I was not clear. You also contradicted yourself. You said you hate zone defense and isolation plays. The idea of a zone defense is to take away isolation plays and keep the ball moving. StoudEmire never got caught for weed. StoudAmire did.

But you have to admit, putting weed in tin foil to get passed a metal detector is stupid enough to fill the entire NBA.
