19 minutes 1-5 shooting 4 personal fouls, 2 assists 2 turnovers

Not so great.

Did anyone truly believe that Luke Walton was going to be the difference in this series?

What do the Pistons have on the the last few teams they've beaten in the playoffs? Health. They're playing some very good ball, but they're also completely healthy, and that certainly helps. That Karl Malone appears to have possibly played his last game in this Finals could be very damning to the Lakers, who already weren't very deep.

He's lucky to have a tenth of his daddy's skills. Fortunately for him a tenth of his daddy is still good enough to be a bench warmer in the NBA.

If he really wanted to bust his *** he would learn to play some defense. Rick may have exagerated a bit but he wasnt that far off.

For a first year player, I think he's doing alright. Perhaps we should ask where Gary Payton and Devean George learned to play D, because I *expect* them to do better than they are.

HuskieDan: In cae you weren't aware...

1) Rasheed Wallace has been dealing with first plantar faciitis (inflammation of the arch) in his foot, then a strained ligament in the same foot. He's been playing through pain since before the playoffs.

2) Ben Wallace's back has been sore for some stretches during the playoffs.

3) Ditto Chauncey Billups' back.

4) Corliss Williamson is laboring through two different leg injuries (can't remember what, specifically, but he hasn't been quite as effective in the last few games).

5) Mike James has been dealing with a groin pull since the Milwaukee series, if not before.

6) Lindsey Hunter is playing through tendinitis in both legs.

7) Richard Hamilton isn't wearing that mask for looks: it's to protect a nose that's been broken twice in the past year and surgically repaired (it's a good thing, too: see Ron Artest and flagrant fouls  !).

Bottom line, most players are banged-up this time of year. In the Lakers' case, I'd say you take a chance health- and production-wise when you sing a 40-year old. Horace Grant is no spring chicken either. As for Shaq, all that swelling isn't strictly speaking an injury...but it sure is slowing him down! :hungry:

Torn ligaments are a bit different than a sore anything.

Funny how Sheed only notices his painful foot when he's getting the worst of the play.
