What I will be buying tomorrow:

<a href='http://www.aso.com/aircraft/76435/' target='_blank'>1965 Beech A-23II</a>

Let me just add, 2,245 Hrs TT (Total Time) is like 10K miles on a '65 Corvette. (It's a '65 model. I learned on a '80 Cessna 152 w/ about 14K hours and a '81 C-172 with about 12K)

Max speed-------127 KnotsPH (about 148 MPH)

Cruise-------------120KnotsPH (138MPH)

Ceiling-----------Almost 12K.

Very sweet ride, bro. You're right, the yellow stripes have to go. Maybe you could replace them with some naked lady on either side. I remember one of those BOTDs we had a while back would be perfect. Hell in fact, most all of them would be perfect. What'd ya think? :D If it won't fit along the fuselage, maybe you could squeeze one on the tail. Pardon the pun.

Yellow is going to be replaced by red.

Well, at about 140, it would STILL take me about 3 and a half hours.
.....and is Hawkins still there?

I'm embarrassed to say, but I don't know. I'm still fairly new to this town, but I will look into it.

As best as I can tell, it still is. Click this link, see if this helps. You could read this much better than I could anyway.

Yeah, Daniel Field charges 40 to park it on the Tarmac. There's a waiting list for hangar space.
