When is the right time? Weeks or months after the accident... when he is out of the hospital... when it's time to talk about his future... it wasn't time to talk about his future... it was time to be sad after someone almost died and might never play the game he has lived for for 22 years.
Have a little heart, or are you too masculine for that?

b) Hell, Dunleavy had a much better season than Wilcox did.
A) geez, where to start...Kaman is a CENTER, so is Olowokandi (who won't even be there next year) nice try though...Brand is the only PF on that roster who I will admit that Wilcox has no shot of beating out for the spot, but Ely? Come on, have you seen that guy? If Wilcox is given the opportunity, he will take advantage.
B) since you are so obsessed with numbers...here ya go
Wilcox 10.4 mpg, 3.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg
Dunleavy 15.9 mpg, 5.7 ppg, 2.6 rpg
so even averaging 5 more minutes per game, dunleavy was only able to muster 2 more points and .3 rebounds than Wilcox...
yep..much much better
try again
A) This logic is contradicting to what you posted about Battier and Jones... FWIW. And yes, Ely has more skills than Wilcox. Wilcox has more athleticism... but Ely has much more talent.
B) When you're only talking 3-8 points... 2 is more than you think... A lot more than you think. And I think that it's sad that an NBA 2/3 tweener can average more rebounds than a PF/C. Yeah, .26 Blk/G for Wilcox is outstanding also... considering that he's supposed to be in the mold of KG and all. His .5 APG is something to marvel at, also. What about that 50% FT mark? Or the fact that the only times he started was when Brand and Olowokandi were sidelined?

First of all his the fact that he was going at an unsafe speed without a liscense or a helmet (I didnt even know that part jeez he must be retarded) does not automatically mean his injuries were life threatening because they werent! Indeed he is lucky that his injuries werent life threatening but that doesnt change the fact that a broken leg/hip is rarely a life threatening injury. HIS INJURIES WERE NOT LIFE THREATENING!!!
And as for him being on the Duke sideline...How is that relevant? And why should I give a ****?

nate..for someone so obsessed with SHAV's doctors on the other thread, you sure don't listen well...JWILL"S doctors have openly stated that his injuries were NEVER life-threatening...I find it very interesting the way you try to twist facts to fit your own dookie spin all the time...

he didn't die...he is not going to die..we can talk about his future right now...
and as for you comment about having a heart, THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT!!! The moron was driving w/o a helmet and w/o a license..why do I have to feel sorry for him?
And if we don't get to see him play the game that he has played for 22 years, at least he has that Sociology degree to fall back on, right?

Wilcox, Ely, and Brand, all listed as F.....
YOU CAN'T ARGUE THIS!
