11-0 in the 6th inning now. They are putting on a clinic in this 6th inning. Rice's pitcher is throwing a 1 hitter so far too! Looks like Rice will get their 1st ever National Championship. Congrats to them!

We probably agree on a lot of things. I just like getting into those smack conversations every now and then. Just ask Herdon!

Fair enough, it's all good!
I know anything can happen in college baseball, but it is looking pretty good right now for the Rice Owls to bring home their first NC in any sport.....congrats to them!!!!

Guess I spoke too soon about that 1 hitter. 11-1 now with 2 outs in the 7th inning.

I don't think that is going to matter much. I'd love to be the pitcher with a 10-run lead in the CWS.
If the 10-run lead wasn't enough, just look at the Stanford players, they are finished. You can see it in their faces.

I think they said Keith Moreland held the record before.

Rice really came to play tonight and were very impressive, I doubted them all season including entering the CWS, but they really stepped up. Their coach is a very classy man as well and seems very likeable he has worked really hard to elevate that program to the top!
Congrats to the Rice Owls!

Congrats to Rice. They were the team I was hoping would win it after SW Missouri got knocked out. It's only fitting that they did win it after the umps gave them the shaft Sunday night. When Rice would bat he would call pitches a full foot outside strikes. When Stanford was batting anything not directly over the plate was a ball (brought back horrible memories of Eric Gregg in the '97 National League Championship Series  ) And in one inning, a Stanford hitter leaned into an inside pitch and got the free base. The next inning, when the same thing happened to a Rice player, he didn't let him go to first - said he leaned into he pitch.
