Okay my Big Bad Wolf's parents own a beach house @ Holden Beach. They have yet to name it and I wanted to help that process along so I am going to post some info here by which you all should be able to help me come up with some great names!

1. I saw a cute one this weekend that said "Holden Aces" with a poker hand holding 4 aces. so "Holden ______" is a good jumping off point

2. Their last name ends in yers like would rhyme with lawyers.

3. Their last name starts with S

4. It should be something that we can make a sign for

Help me out here ya'll. This lovely home is only missing a cute name. They are not yet retired but it is their vacation home they rarely rent out. Something witty but not tacky. They like to have fun! If you have other question PM me or email me and I can disclose other info.

Have we already talked about how my mom has a house at Holden too? Where is theirs located on the island? (My mom's is on Sailfish Dr., which is the third set of canals).

If your parents(-in-law?) are huge Wolfpack fans, you should consider making a name related to that. (I know if I was going to name a house, I'd relate it to Tar Heels somehow. ) There must be all kinds of puns you could make out of "Pack."

It's so hard to do an original name nowadays. My mom's house just has our last name on it -- I don't think my parents ever cared that much about naming it (although I certainly would have if it were mine).

I'd suggest that they find something else they really like (a movie, book, band, etc.) and make a name from that. For example, I've seen more than a few people name their house "Margaritaville" because they were Jimmy Buffett fans. I'm pretty sure one place at Holden is called "Changes in Lattitudes, Changes in Attitudes" for Buffett too.

Provision Co. is great -- I just ate there for the first time in March. They have good food all around and I like the laid-back atmosphere.

As for seafood, I'm actually not a big seafood fan (I'm the black sheep of my family). But, my parents were always huge seafood eaters, and we always ate at Betty's when we went there in the past. But, the management has changed a few times over the years... and the crowd seems to have found its way there. We haven't eaten there in awhile, so I'm not sure how good it is anymore.
