I'm sold - I'll like NCAA Basketball until NCAA Football installs a playoff system :stupid:

Football could play kino for the championship for all I care... it's still far more entertaining.
And... oh yes... people actually stick around for college more.

Absolutely unequiviqually college football has a far more intense atmoshpere, Ive been to 2 Rose Bowls, 3 Fiesta Bowls, 2 Holiday Bowls and many rival games and conf matchups and have attended many hoops and baseball games as well, even the rowdiest of Hoops venues is a bit campy i.e. Cameron the Duke crazies are comical, not all that intimidating they are disruptive though. Think of some of the college football venues, Michigan, Florida, Oregon, Ohio State, Texas A&M, LSU, hell, any
SEC venue for that matter, I once attended a game at the Swamp and it was unreal!

I've heard that Death Valley at LSU is incredibly loud. Most games are at night (which is the way they want it), so the folks are out tailgating and boozing it up for 6-8 hours before the game. :drink: I'm sure some of the SEC folks like 10Man remember the "Earthquake" game in the late '80s against Auburn where the noise was so loud, it registered on the Baton Rouge richter scale.

I remember hearing about the "earthquake" game, but I wasn't there. That is amazing, and I believe every word of it.
I did go to the Ole Miss-LSU game last year in Baton Rouge, and I can tell you it is the loudest place I have ever been to by far. UT in Knoxville holds significantly more people, and it doesn't even touch Death Valley. I've been to Knoxville for games several times and they have never come close, although UT is loud, though.
Death Valley is deafening.

Great Story , I bet its raciuos there! Back in 96 in Tempe the Sun Devils ended Nebraskas win streak at 27 games and stopped them from winning a third straight National Championship, it was so loud that NU fumbled 6 times that game, on one play the QB(Frost) was standing upright looking over the Defense and the center just snapped the ball right passed him nobody but the center and Defense even knew the ball was in play. Play was stopped several times when NU had the ball do to excessive noise, every time play stopped it just got louder and louder.

Chapel Hill High defenders Stuart Bell (left) and Brian Hertzberg take out Wilmington Laney's DeAndre Ingram during the NCHSLA championship at UNC's Henry Stadium on Saturday.
This is what High School lacrosse looks like from the champs perspective!
Go Tigers!!!!!!!!!
