What is the word on his ankle? The Devils Den says he broke a bone. NO flame, honest. Hope he is OK.

I'm pretty sure nothing is official yet. He said pretty clearly on the bench that "something popped in his ankle" but if it was broken, there's no way he could have shot another three and played another possession.
My guess is he just twisted it and thought he heard a pop. At least that's what I'm hoping.

Not to wish anything on Redick, but when I broke my ankle, we thought it was just a bad sprain for a day...I could still move my toes, it could bear weight & I was able to walk (albeit limping). Considering the adrenaline Redick would have had going at that point in the game, it is very likely he could have continued playing for a short bit. Hopefully it is just a sprain, but it could be a hairline fracture too. :(

I think Sean May kept playing for a bit after he broke his foot. Sometimes it's hard for these guys to know what is exactly wrong when they get injured... and they try to suck it up and play through the pain.
It's probably good for Duke that Reddick's injury happened toward the end of the game -- that way, maybe he hadn't broken his ankle yet.

Also McNabb played an entire half before realizing he had broken he ankle. I hate for any team to lose a great player but it does not sound good for the Dukie.. But at least that explains the loss. For somereason the game was not on here in the DC area.... But then again I did not switch to cable to see if it was on there which it probably was....

May was a huge part of our frontcourt game, and his loss has been a huge blow. However, I think Redick and McCants make their teams go. The loss of Redick would be very bad news for Duke and all the dukies. Let's all hope he is fine.

He's fine... just tweaked it and will play tomorrow... He missed practice today as a precautionary measure.

Thank goodness it wasn't broken. Now the Dukies won't have an excuse when the L's start piling up. :D
