Like you said about JayWilly, you can't really argue with stats in the first month of the season. Obviously, he won't keep up that pace for the season.

I stand corrected about Scott. About the only guy I followed on Clemson last year was Tony Stockman. But still, you can't rank Jack 7th. I'm not saying he's the best in the league, but he's at least in the upper half. This is how my list would look...

1. Blake
2. Duhon (although I'd consider him more of a 2-guard this year)
3. Hodge
4. Felton
5-tie. Jack and Scott

[EDIT: Updated a mistake in the ranking]

There is NO WAY Jack is as good as Felton. I repeat, NO WAY.

Since when was Hodge a point guard?

Until Felton proves to me he can score, I think Jack is better

Felton
------------
9 points
5 points
6 points
10 points

30 points in 4 games

I'll give him credit and say 8 PPG, 9 assists per game in 33 minutes, 1.5 steals per game

Jack
------------
10 points
16 points

26 points in 2 games

13 PPG, 7 assists per game and 2.5 steaks per game in 31 minutes per game

Please explain why Felton is better

But wait, I thought that points didn't matter, and it wasn't Jack's job to score? 03-confused 03-confused 03-confused

BTW, Felton is averaging 7 points, 5 rebs, and 8 assists.

Desigundah, remember saying this?

Julius Hodge is a combo guard, much like Ezra Williams.
Billet? Please. I will take Jarrett Jack's left ankle over him.
Felton?? Uhhhh

typical...

If you think Todd Billet and Ed Scott are better PGs, you're out of your tree...
whoa whoa whoa...ed scott in nasty, he is just stuck on a bad team...the verdict is still out on billet...

this thread is hysterical...

jack will one day prove to be a very talented ACC point guard...who knows how this year will turn out for him, but if he does indeed prove to be capable of the job that Hewitt wants him to do, the Yellow Jackets will be very scary this year...

I was giving Felton credit

as in 7.5 ppg and 8.5 apg

If a point guard can score like Jack, its a bonus....thats something Felton hasn't proved yet

Rick, my point was that Drejer is no where near good enough to be a top 10 recruit from the 2002 class.

Techfan...

Jack is a good scorer, but his team skills are piss poor.

BAHHH!!! And Duhon is?

VERY funny Nate...VERY funny

Duhon isnt proven either...no help from Jay, Mike, or Carlos

Hodge? A point guard? He's a 6'6'' good for nothing shooting guard...

I thought that Carrawell(Carraway? wahtever his name is) was the point guard?

The reason Jack wasn't "a team player" early vs. UGA, is because we couldn't get anything going offensivley, so Jack stepped up, and got some quick baskets to put us back in the game...

The only other guy on that list that has that ability is Steve Blake

LMFAO!

Duhon just dropped 20/10 and 8, 2 rebounds away from a triple double against a good PG.

Ask State fans who will be running the point for them this year.

Chris Carawell???? Duke class of 00?

DUHON is preseason ACC POY! Gimme a break.

http://northcarolina.theinsiders.com/2/73664.html

DT, I stand corrected on Drejer, while he isn't top 5 in the 2002 class, he is top 20.

Jack had 12 assists in both the Nike game and the APB game against 4 and 10 points respectively. I agree with Techfan4 completely in saying that Jack was FORCED to take it in and score the first half against UGA because none of the other guys were open. He does what needs to be done. He looks first and if the open man isn't there he is a scorer...that's what a point guard needs to do IMO.

1) Clifford Crawford will not start for State @ PG.

2) Hypothetically, if he did, State would be in big trouble.

Nonetheless, Julius Hodge will start for State.
