Alright everyone go to town claiming how much better each school's recruit(s) looked last night. This is called the verbal assault area.

Eric Williams will break anyone who comes inside on Wake next year. He ripped that guys head back like it was a PEZ dispenser.

Felton will be called for 2 charges per game.

Reddick will be added to the long list of gay Duke players.

Bosh will be one of Eric Williams' victims.

Weren't convinced by Felton's spin moves, were you?

Let me add this one: McCants will draw two charges a game.

Of the UNC recruits McCants obviously impressed most people more than Felton did. Felton seems to try and shake n bake his way around out there a little too much.

May is going to be a player. He may be a fatass now, but he has a soft shot and good hands. The only thing I have seen Matt Doherty do well as a coach is get Brenda Haywood to improve a little. I reckon Doh's experience as a post player will come in handy for teaching May how to handle the post.

EW needs more conditioning, which I am sure he will get out of Prosser. I worry most about him having foul problems. One thing is certain, when he fouls somebody he fouls them! He will be one of the top 5 rebounders in this conference from day 1 simply because of his size and positioning. Anybody who gets offensive boards like that will score some easy baskets on putbakcs. He may not have hit them last night, but do you think that will continue in college.

El Uncle, the game was last night which makes it acceptable. If there was the high school AA football game was played during the NCAA's and Clemson was actually playing in it, you would still talk about the high school fball recruits.

Now take your banking ass crying back to dreams of Death Valley, but remember the Deacs are coming in town to ruin your homecoming, and I will be there laughing at your ass the entire time. Even before that we are going up to the baseball series the last weekend in April. Our G-Vegas friend is up for it as well, and we might even be able to sneak in a round of "golf."

Other than Stoudemaire I think Carmelo Anthony was the best player on the court. Too bad he is going to Syracuse.

If he doesn't qualify, he will most likely enter the draft they said.

Terpy,
I wasn't impressed with Amare at all last night. He did not live up to the hype.

Redick: A
Thompson: B-
Shav: C
Dockery: D

Felton:B-
McCants: A-, would be an A if Roberson hadn't scorched him on offense
May: C+

Bosh: A-

E.Williams: A-, a force to be reckoned with

Once May gets on the right diet and on a serious weight program, he is going to be a beast. Reminds me on Lonnie Baxter at the same point (May has more of the goods at this point though). The ACC is going to be loaded with big men in the coming years.

He didnt ask for the ball but when he go the ball he scored, I didnt see him missing to many shots. It was clear to me that he was the most talented player out there.

Terpy,
I think Anthony, Redick, McCants, Roberson and Fraser (besides the little mind lapse) looked better than Amare last night. I still think he is the best in the class, he just didn't play that well.

Yeah, recruiting has nothing to do with head coaching, or does it?

Sure Doherty did not do a very good job "coaching" this year's team, but it is only his second year at UNC (third total). What did he do in his first year?

beat Duke in Cameron
ACC-Reg Season Co-Champions
got to ACC-Title game
got into NCAAs

THESE THINGS DO NOT HAPPEN BY LUCK.

He had one awful season where his team and players showed little improvement if any at all and they were defeated by inferior teams. This disappoints me as much as it pleases all the ABCers, but I am gonna give Doherty a chance. As he establishes his own system, he will bring in his kind of players, and Doherty has showed that he can bring in good ones. Obviously Doherty is in over his head, but he will only continue to learn on the job. He is a good recruiter and these days that is a majoy part of the job. So as a Tarheel I feel things are headed in a better direction, and he will become a better coach.

hoops,
Recruiting and coaching are exclusive, just to let you know.

Last year, Forte, Haywood, Lang, Capel, and Curry were the reason they had all those accomplishments. Doh! is the reason they suck this year.

I dont think Doh is a nescesarily a great recruiter, the name UNC does alot of the recruiting for him, he just signs great kids who already want to be Tarheels IMO.
