Perhaps I am confusing the NCSU fan persecution complex with the Dukie Whine.

Although I believe the NCSU fan persecution complex is not a learned behavior. There is an abundance of evidence indicating that NCSU fans are indeed born with this malady.

On the other hand, since nobody is actually born a Duke fan, the Dukie Whine must be a learned behavior.

Telling where it derives from doesn't define the term "Dukie whine".

Do you have a term for someone who posts opinions against NC State consistently on NC State boards?

I also have a term for someone who is a general nuisance on message boards and despite repeated banishments continues to register new usernames to be a pain in the ass. Care to guess what my name for him is?

Or was that WFU_Jeremy?

Nice welcome you're giving a new poster, BTW.

I'm still waiting on your definition of the term "Duke whining".

I don't mind the childish trash talking about NC State, but generally I understand the terms you are using and the basis of said terms. I'll go ahead and recuse myself from this thread and await your response to this question which had me in a quandary.

I found out long after I had begun using Liquid Karma. The other was removed because some overzealous moderator got her panties in a bunch because I posted an opinion different from the party line on the NCSU board. She was the only mod who even had a problem with FUBAR as a username.

Do not attempt to understand a situation you know nothing about.

Simply put, the Dukie Whine is what I see every time one of their players gets a foul called on them. It is best exemplified by Mike Dunlady when a ref has the audacity to signal that he was indeed guilty of some foul. Observe Dunlady's facade during a game and you will see the visual manifestation of the Dukie Whine. Of course there is also the more audible manifestations whereby each Dukie will immediately complain to the referees upon being called for any foul.

And finally, they are led by coach KryScaredSh*tSki, who once famously whined about having to play in Lexington during the NCAA's cause he feared the Keeeeeeentucky natives would harbor too much animosity towards the Dukies.

Now, your question has been answered.

The Dukie whine???? Hold on....I have to whine about that one... lol... the only player that I MIGHT agree with your statement on is Dahntay Jones-- he seems to wear his emotions on his sleeves quite a lot-- other than that (oh, and the constant ability that Coach K has for getting on the refs-- I call that awesome coaching!! (:...) I have HONESTLY never seen Williams, Boozer, Dunleavy or Duhon WHINE about a call--they are usually in the huddle shaking their heads and saying "my fault"... really!!! lol

If you have never seen Dunlady whine you need to have your drivers license revoked because your vision is clearly impaired to the point of blindness.

Josh Howard whines A LOT. His oncourt demeanor is VERY similar to that of Hodge's.

Yes, the Capel Whine is indeed entertaining to watch.

Whiteville - the difference between Howard and Hodge is that Howard has earned the right to be a punk on the court.
