Hey Sooner with the mouth. I'm holding you to your original bet. I have not researched the field for your "OK, you got me, how bout this" bet, but I've decided that it has to be even more meaningless. For example, other than ND, Maryland's OOC schedule includes such illustrious programs as Akron, Eastern Michigan and Wofford. I can only imagine what it looks like for the entire ACC and Big 12. Next time you talk crap, you should know what you are talking about.

OK. I guess I have to spell things out for you guys again. I'm not changing the bet I'm just including any possible bowl games between the conferences. So there are 3 regular season games but we could also meet in bowl games and I think that they should be included too. Becuase they are intraconference games too. And when did I ever say anything about including games against Akron and Wofford? Before you talk crap, maybe you should read my posts a little better.

OK Sooner, I bet you that both the ACC AND the Big 12 BOTH go .500 in conference games. I know I'm going out on a skinny limb with such a wild prediction, but I feel lucky. Wanna take it?

Wow. I guess the rumor about ACC folks is really true. OK I will spell it out for you again. BIG 12 verses the ACC. Whoever wins the most games wins the bet. This should include the 3 regular season meetings and any possible meetings in bowl games. Do I need to make it clearer than that? If the ACC wins more times than I change my little line under my name to say ACC RULES. And if the BIG 12 wins which they will then you will change your little line to say BIG 12 RULES. Deal?

Bowl games are certainly another source for some gaming, but we have not been specific about them, and I'm sure that once they are announced, we will have more to discuss.

OK, let me understand. I know I'm a tad slow. Total WINS does not work, 12 teams vs 8. In the ACC, all teams face each other once, and the result is a .500 for the conference. I have a feeling that this is not the case in the Big 12. Still, in conference games probably account for the same percentage of games played and also equal a .500, therefore, a wash. So now we are down to OOC games and bowl games. I already expressed my disgust with most OOC games, and I have no idea about bowl game guarantees etc, so I will not bet those until they are set. So what are we left with? The 3 games YOU wanted to bet on! Do I understand?

WOW. I don't know how many different ways I have to say this before you understand. We are only betting on the games in which a BIG 12 team plays an ACC team. According to your friend thats only 3 games in the regular season. Do you understand that much? If so please reply and type yes. Then I will continue after that.

OK, Sooner, I have re-read your post and I do understand now I think... The 3 games we know about, and add to the schedule any bowl meetings between the ACC and the Big 12. All games ACC vs Big 12. Got it. I might take that bet!

Sorry for the uptake problem, you kept talking Big 12 wins and ACC wins, I wasn't understanding that you meant Big 12 vs ACC wins...

Thats ok. Your kinda cool. I think that Maryland is a pretty good school for both sports but you have a long way to go in football still. I think I need to go talk to a man about a horse. Be back in about 15.

I'd hate to obfuscate the issue, now that we finally seem to be close, but are you talking BCS bowls or all bowls? You know they are up to about 27 now! Actually, I think that it will be the bowls that work in your favor.

but since there are only 9 ACC teams that is the max number of bowls that could be played between ACC and SEC teams

the bet is only between games where the ACC plays the SEC. so far there is 3 games scheduled-so there is a definite winner. if they happen to meat in any bowl games then they would be counted-but only the bowl games that match an ACC team with a SEC team

SO SOONER OR LATER YOU'LL FIND OUT IN 2002. GO ACC!!!!!!!!

The ACC won't meet the Big 12 in any bowls, unless it's in the national title.
