Sounds like they could end up with virtually no "'muricans" on the team. Their recuiting success could be looked at in several ways, either folks will think that they're being recruited over and leave, or people will say "they loaded and I won't get to play", or finally "half of them could go pro next year and we'll step right in." Whichever way it goes, I suspect that they won't land as high a percentage of their top targets as they did this year.

Also, there are many questions about the incoming class for next year. One is not qualified, one has the rape charges, and another blew out his ankle. They're losing Williams and Boozer, so they could have some roster holes next year. Dunleavy and Jones will leave after next year. They may actually need a great class in 2003 in order to make up for that.

LT, none of the 3 you mentioned concern Duke fans.

1) Dockery will qualify. That's not a prediction, that's an informed statement. I would be very surprised if he didn't qualify.

2) Shelden's charges have been dropped.

3) JJ is recovered from his injury, and is still stroking that jumper <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" /> .

Telfair = 1st point guard drafted in the NBA.

The kid is sick. I saw him go up against Felton this year as a sophomore...and I really couldn't tell who was better.

I would say it's unlikely...but he's just as good as Felton is during his sophomore year.

I think Felton is just as ready to play point guard in the pros as Eddy Curry and Tyson Chandler were ready to play center.

If Telfair gets any better than he was this past year, then he can make the jump. He has also stated that he wants to be the first high school point guard ever taken in the draft...which means he already has his sights set.

They aren't "rumors".

He was interviewed and stated, "I want to be the first point guard ever taken in the draft".

I didn't just see his game against Felton...I watched him play all 4 games against some of the best competition in the nation.

I'd say he's just as good as Felton now. In the second half him and Felton just went at it. Telfair's team had a big lead, so each team would just clear out for the other. Felton is a good defender, but Telfair just took him to school. He would shake and bake and just pull-up and knock it down. Or he would drive and take it strong to the basket and just go by Felton. Felton didn't really have an answer on the other end except for a pull-up three here and there. He scored most of his points in the first half on other Lincoln High defenders.

Felton and Telfair are head and shoulders above former great high school guards. I think most would agree that Dajuan Wagner could have made the jump to the pros, but he was a little less discplines. I dont expect anyone to understand unless they've seen them play, but Felton and Telfair have the "NBA game". They play well against high school competition, but you can tell by watching them play that they can do the same thing against much better competition.

You mention Duke, and positioning in the same sentence and I can't help but think of the special sense of relationships coach K instills in his players.
