I heard a report earlier that because of the sniper still on the loose, the there is a possibility Thursday's GT/MD game might be pushed back either to Oct. 19 (Saturday) or Dec. 7 (the next open date for both teams). Has anyone up in the DC area heard anything about this? That would be a damn shame if we had to postpone a football game (or any event) because of this psycho! All kinds of things are being curtailed--and higher security where things are still going on.

I've been planning a big parade & all day celebration for our town's 250th anniversary. It's scheduled for this Saturday. Starting to get participants cancelling 'cause of security fears.

nope...it's not being cancelled...though there will be a much larger "police presence" in the area of the stadium and all the parking lots. There are also "unreleased security measures" that will be going into effect, but they're keeping them quiet for obvious reasons. I don't have the link right now...but I DID see it on the "other" *gasp* board. :D

Okay...what the HECK happened to my sig line and my user status? A couple of weeks ago, everything was FINE!!! :mad:

Hey where'd you hear that Maryland says they never even considered it....oh well....they haven't hit CP so it's safe just like Charles County is even technically Charles County is in hte middle of it south of Bowie and north of Fredricksburg almost directly for each one.

I heard about it a yesterday afternoon on a sports talk radio station here in Atlanta. They just said there were "rumors out of College Park" about it but no confirmed report. That's good to know that it's nothing to worry about. Why am I surprised though?...I mean, how can you trust anything from a station that calls itself "680: The Superstick." :rolleyes: :laugh:
