Under My Profile, you can be sent an e-mail when you are sent a PM. The e-mail will contain the pm and everything.

Instead of having a dozen PM threads, why not turn this feature on?

This has nothing to do with the PM's, but it's just some advice for those that can't check their email during the day: get a hotmail/yahoo/excite address! If you can get on the board, then you can check one of those.

IMO, everyone should at least have two email addresses -- one for junk mail, listserves, etc. and one for friends and family.

And, you definitely need one that you can check whenever you get on the internet....

"So and so, check your hotmail account because there's a message there informing you that you have a PM!"

Seriously though, if you use a POP account for your email at home, you can set up Yahoo or Hotmail to read your mail from anywhere. Very useful!

ACTUALLY...I was content with starting ONE and making it last the whole day or whole week...(you know, like the BOTD....) but then everyone else started one, people started whining about it, and it was blown out of proportion, SO I just thought I would join the party--you know, play the antagonizer (I am admitting that acting childishly today was serving to amuse me greatly--but from now on--it's all maturity here!!!!) LOL--YES I will keep using a pm thread...until the admins step up and say there are things we can and cannot post on (and I am sure that this is what they are trying not to do) NO, I won't post on more than one anymore (no matter how tempting and completely ridiculous things may be getting)-- so with that said....I am going to go type a pm..... (: Everyone have a great evening!!!! (:

Here's my logic, though:

If everyone is posting on one thread for the entire week about PM's for someone else, then how does that person know to check that thread to know to check their PM's? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="confused.gif" />

There'd be so many posts on there that nobody would want to read that thread, and they would thus miss their PM notifications!

That is all....
