Every year I'm amazed at the list of names. Who are these guys getting advice from?

I dont think people are necessarily telling these guys that they are going to be lottery picks, alot of them just dont like school.

It just means that they are putting their names into the NBA draft. I'm sure that some will not take agents and then come back to school.

The more the better in my mind...

I think the more people who throw thier names into the hat the less chance Wilcox will...

By the way I think he is staying otherwise he woul dhave announced by now..

IMHO.. But then again not too much about me is Humble....

look at how many players ended up being mediocre to total garbage in the NBA. Only boozer and stoudemire are true all stars, with gooden being a good starter.

Exactly why I love being able to pull up old threads.

This one being a prime example.

you either need to look again or you dont know as much about the NBA as you think

all all-star caliber players

Stoudemire
Brandon Roy
Caron Butler
Boozer

solid starters

Dunleavy
Gooden
Chris Wilcox

quality bench guys

Kareem Rush
Jared Jeffries
Roger Mason Jr.

Smush Parker is also on the list, hes out of the league right now but had a few really solid years with the lakers and Roger Mason is currently starting and scoring 15 ppg for the Spurs. All in all not a bad group of players.

i actually did need to look again. i didn't see brandon roy. i disagree with the last 3 names, but you're right, dunleavy and wilcox are solid, although dunleavy's better. And let's not get ahead of ourselves with caron butler. He's a good player, but not a true all star caliber player. a career FG% of 44% isn't gonna get it done.

RE: Already 16 players have declared for the NBA draft.
He was an All-Star in 06-07 and actually had a better season last year but didnt make the team. He averaged 20, 6 and 4 last season and was like 19 7 and 4 the year before how is that not an all star? There arent 5 players in the NBA that can match that kind of stat line and thats before you even look at his great defense and 2+ steals per game, only 3 guys in the NBA had more steals per game than Butler last year.

And as far as his fg% its been about 46% since he came to the Wizards (higher than Kobe's career field goal percentage and a shade under Lebron)

If Caron Butler aint a legit all star nobody is.

when i meant all star caliber, i meant players like paul pierce and deron williams, but i see where you're coming from. I meant a year in-year out all star, but either way.
