I have brought a good deal of posters here, including about 5 in the past 48 hours, and, with the help of others, have the Duke board overflowing with posts.

BTW, if you all want me to leave, that's fine. I'm not playing games, but if you guys honestly believe it is best for the site, I'll leave.

We all know that I'm not the biggest fan of Nate, maybe he shouldnt be an admin but I dont think we should blatantly be mean to him. I dont like him much most of the time but at least he promotes conversation, lets cut the whipper snapper a little slack. Then again maybe I'm just too nice of a person, a virtual lynching would be interesting.

Nate, I will admit you piss me off more than any poster on this site. However, as a fellow admin I also can appreciate the work you have done to help this site.

I would say that perhaps all of us need to just tone it down a tad bit.

Some people also need to admit when they're wrong and quit being so stubborn.

Pooh, look at all of my posts today from 5:00 on. I have said nothing but nice and fair things to everyone I have posted to or in the same thread with. I realized I said some dumb stuff in the Shelden thread, I apologized, without anyone saying "Nate, that was dumb, please apologize". If you want me to show you examples, I can:

"Shelden dropped"
"What's Nate's problem?"
"Who the [] made Nate an admin"
Those are just 3 examples.

Nate, I dont think you realize exactly what the beef is, your previous post is a perfect example of why you piss people off, think about it for awhile, maybe you will figure out what I am talking about.

You are cool with me, too! I think I speak for everyone when I say, thanks for all the computer related work you do for the site!
Terpy: I know why I piss people off. A lot of it is probably because I am so defensive. The above post is defensive, but this time I at least have a very good point, IMO.

Lets all please cut Nate a little slack. As Alex said, he is a kid. Many of the people arguing with him are not. I'm not taking his side, but.....I just want everyone to ease up a bit. I'm sure he feels ganged up on at times. Nate does work hard to promote the board and he does get many people to register. Maybe Nate can promise to tone it down a bit, and everyone else can promise to just take his posts with a grain of salt. Varrying points of view is one of the foundations of a message board. We just need to remember to keeps things civil!!!!!!!
