Like the subject said, what is your favorite football play? It can be a regular play or "trickeration."

Here are a couple of mine:
-> Tech had a play against NC State in 1999, I'm not sure what you call it - it was sort of a modified end-around play. Joe Hamilton sent WR Kelly Campbell in motion. As soon as the ball was snapped, Hamilton turned and fell to the ground. Some of the State players stopped thinking the play was over. Actually, he made an absolutely perfect handoff to Campbell who went around end and scored. That was Ralph Freidgen at his best right there.

-> I also like the "old school" formations like the single wing and flexbone (see formation below). Maryland ran the flex to perfection on a play against FSU last year...

QB
WR WR
FB</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">MD sent one flanker in motion and immediately handed it off to the fullback (Parsons?), but faked the pitch to the reciever. By the time FSU figured out who had the ball, the fullback was long gone.

In back-yard football-The Center Sneak.
Center pretends to hike ball to QB.
QB tucks "ball" for a run or handoff.
Center has ball hidden in arms, head down busts through line and usually scores!

This year, I am sure we are going to get a real good helping of some trickery from the Fridge with the change of Latrez Harrison from QB to WR. We could possibly see a reverse to Latrez that turns in to a pass back to the QB for the TD ala Nebraska's Eric Crouch against Oklahoma last season.

It looks like a draw play right up the middle. The QB hands the ball off to the RB. When he gets to the line, he turns and pitches back to the QB who then launches it downfield. There is more than likely going to be a reciever open because the defense has cheated toward the line expecting a running play.

The option out of the wishbone. I love the quick hit to the fullback for 20 yards. Nothing is more beautiful in a game when Nebraska is running the option right down your throat, unless of course you are rooting for the team on defense.

I saw a couple of nifty trick plays last year in the NFL.

The Rams ran one where Kurt Warner started walking away from behind center like he was going to call a timeout. The rest of the team was in formation with Marshall Faulk lined up right behind the center. As the defense relaxed for a timeout to be called, the ball was snapped to Faulk -- who I believe scored a TD.

Another not-so-successful attempt was a fake kneeldown by Peyton Manning. He took the snap and began to kneel down, but didn't actually touch his knee all the way to the ground. He then got up and started walking away with the ball -- and then picked up the pace and sprinted into the endzone while the defense looked at him stupidly. Unfortunately, the officials were fooled too and they errantly blew the play dead. Still thought it was cool, though....
