Alabama, though was every bit as tough -- and clever -- as everyone thought they would be.

How the Sooners handle the rest of the season will be very very telling after today, though. Quite possibly QB Jason White (torn ACL in right knee) is gone for the year -- he missed a huge chunk of last season after tearing the ACL in his left knee. Sucks for him, because his career may very well be over too. With frosh QB Brent Rawls also out with an injury, that leaves ONLY Nate Hybl as a signal caller. Stoops and Co. might ought to mummycase him in bubble wrap and make him sleep in a casket (or something else with soft 'n' cushy lining).

Don't worry, ST, you're your own entity in my book, and everyone else's.
