Class of 2003

Dorman High School (Cavaliers)

My high school is bigger than most of the local colleges. No joke. It has the largest football stadium in the area (14,800). The next closest things within two hour's drive:
Clemson - Memorial Stadium (81,473)
Clemson - Little John Coliseum (11,020)
South Carolina - Williams Bryce (80,000)
Greenville - Bi-Lo Center (16,000)

Yes, you can tell academics are priority #1 here

We've won back-to-back 4A titles, and this year we are ranked as high as #4 in the nation in some national polls.

They had an invite for alumni to come see the new Blair when they opened it a few years ago. I just couldn't bear to go. It looks like a huge jail. It's isolated from the world by fences and major highways, and is an enormous blockhouse with no uncontrolled egresses/exits.

The old Blair was an eclectic collection of buildings ("A" Building, "B" Building, "C" Building...) cobbled together over the decades. Right next to Sligo Creek park. It musta had at least two dozen ways in and out: first nice day of Spring and half the senior class came up missing.

I graduated from this high school with former OU hoops star and later Chicago Bull Stacey King. In fact, I went to school with King from seventh grade on, and he was in one or two of my classes in junior high school. He was a very large 13 year old. Even though his NBA career didn't pan out as much as anybody had thought (he does still have a couple of rings, though), he was a good kid and, the last time I was in touch with him, he's still a pretty good guy.

Charles Thompson, the OU football star who stupidly sold cocaine to an undercover cop (and, I think was on the cover of SI wearing an orange convict jumpsuit), was a sophomore at LHS the year I graduated.

No one of interest (that I know of) has ever attended my high school, except me of course. Terrance Morris did go to TJ High which is in my county though...and theres a few MD football players from Frederick High and TJ High (I think).
