Dude had another game winning, walk-off hit last night against the Angels. Oakland tied Anaheim for 1st place(agaion).

Gotta go with Tejada on this one. ARod is the best player in the league, but how "valuable" is he to the Rangers? With him, they are 25 games out of first.
I still think the Rangers would have been better off using that $25 million a year to have signed Hampton and Mussina (or at least attempted to sign them).

I don't really understand the deal with league MVP awards anyway. Why is there a league award to honor the player who was most valuable to his team? That's what team awards are for.
IMO, there should be a MOP award... or the MVP award should just honor the player who was most valuable to baseball that year.
