"The Pollster fills his crack pipe one more time, takes a long drawn hit before he sits down to compose this week's Poll. Obviously, strength of schedule is everything in the NY Times poll. That doesn't make the poll bad. It is what it is.

But that's why Miami (Florida) is low. Florida State aside, the Canes have played some pretty sad sack teams.

That's why Bowling Green is so low. In contrast, Jeff Sagarin's BCS version of his ratings has Bowling Green at about 23, which in my opinion is a lot closer to reality.
