We cannot go after Iraq until we are done in Afghanistan...we need to be soley focused on the goal at hand, and with the events of earlier today, our job in Afghanistan is far from over...

Wow, So there are definately some radical arabs out there. And as we know, all it takes is one with some good rhetoric and a lot of dough you can have another al quieieaida in a few months.

I wouldn't be surprised, but if he isn't, this could get scary.

I doubt Bin Laden has any part in the attacks that are forumlated now, in Afghanistan or outside.

He has people to do that for him -- what part does he have? no doubt, the funding. thats just my guess

I was in no way saying he pulled the tigger or lit the fuse, but he has a serious "role." I guess we will never know, because even if he were dead, and we happen to have found him, I don't think the US would trumpet it, only because then he would be a marter for the cause and he would only be stronger to his followers, but my guess is he has a direct role in these actions against the "interim" Afghani gov't and he is alive, maybe not well, but alive.

NO! We should not attack- Saddam is not doing anything to us at the moment, and he most likely doesn't intend to. The only way he will is if he knows we are coming after him, and he's going down. Then he will want to use everything he has before we can take it. Yes, he may have nuclear weapons, but aren't we forgetting that WE HAVE THEM TOO!!! US=Hypocrites....I think I'm moving to Canada with Aaron McGruder....no, better yet, Australia...its hot there.

Jenibu,
But we cooperate with other countries' investigations and we will tell people why we have nukes. Saddam won't. I wonder why? Maybe because he is a powerful political leader with obvious ties to terrorist organizations and he is plotting against us or another country.

We aren't being hypocritical because we have stated that we are a nuclear power, and we aren't going to invade Iraq just because they "might be a nuclear power". It's a lot more than that.

Yes, also because Bush & Co. want to win reelection.

Note: I respect everyone's opinion on this board, I just wish that the US gov't was either a lot smarter, or at least good-hearted. However, people who are smart and good-hearted are too much so to become politcians.

PS- Did anyone see Aaron McGruder (The Boondocks) on the show before Hardball last night?

"good hearted" and other emotion can't control how we deal with other countries. That's why I would puke at the thought of a pacifist pres.

I say do it now.

I believe Hussein is going after Isreal with nukes very soon. Very soon. I believe Blair and Bush are gonna reveal evidence next week that will implicate Hussein in everything that has gone on since the initial WTC bombing 11 years ago. He targeted Isreal during the Gulf War. IMO, all hell is going to break loose.

The pieces are starting to fit into place, slowly but to be sure, the man has been involved in a big way.

There's also "activity" at known military installations in Iraq (seen from satellite photos - read something about it today). He's not innocent, he never has been. I think our govt has known of Hussein's part in this since the get-go and they've just dealt first with OBL for the obvious reason that OBL was Husseins direct vehicle for chaos.

I'm starting to believe Iran is involved too. Nothing substantial to base this on - just a feeling although it seems farfetched that Iran and Iraq would agree on anything.

GREAT post, Goldfish! I agree totally.

Of course Iran is involved, it's only 1 letter away from Iraq! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

As you said, the pieces do seem to be falling into place, I just don't know why we didn't see a lot of this a long time ago.

Did it dawn on anyone else that the initial WTC attack was about 1 year later than Iraq's invasion of Kuwait? I think that Saddam is involved in both of these, and the gov't now has enough proof.

We all have to remember... We know little to nothing about everything that the feds know. Believe me, the feds know tons of crap about Saddam and his terrorism connections, and finally they can justify what we've all speculated for a while now. We just don't know exactly how... yet.
