Of note I got:

The good:
Battleship and Boggle translate very well to this. Boggle has been whuppin' my azz though. Never played it till I got this game. battleship lets you chose differnt themes of ships and has good animatics. BOTH games offer 1 game/ Mulitplayer options

The Bad:
Monopoly and Yahtzee translate poor to the game. Especially Monopoly, gratned I love my Gamecube version of Monopoly. Also to play multiplayer on these games the other folks have to havea copy of the game as well.

Had previous version but wanted the Directors cut. Very nice package and features. Only down side I see is NO DTS Surround track.

This was my gift to myslef:

This is truly a better version for the $ than the first edition they released earlier this year. Only downside I see is the packaging: The charcter pics you see in the pic above are a cheap sleeve over the main box!! Also they do a stack tray instead of a flipper tray to house the two discs ( one on top of hte other instead of their individual trays.

THen I guess I got the usual...clothes.

I've never thought I was that hard to buy for but I usually get a collection of gifts that, well, miss the mark. This year, however, they finally figured it out.

I got a stained glass Bulldog lamp for my home office.

I got a 4 foot square fleece Bulldog wrap. In the entry way to our home, we have hung an Amish quilt that I gave my wife last Christmas. Inexplicably, I was threatened with divorce when I suggested that my new wrap, held by a 4 foot quilt hanger, would be the perfect entry way compliment to our hanging quilt. Boy was that a fun card to play for a bit.

I got a swatch of the new cardinal (one side) and blue ( other side) fabric that my wife is using to make the bathrobe that I asked for. And it will have an official Bulldog applique, to boot.

And finally, I got a new watch with an official Bulldog on it.

So I scored great this Christmas. However, as much as I like these gifts, I do have two concerns:

First, I have this nagging feeling that my family thinks that I'm a ten year old going through his "Ninja Turtle" phase -- one where everything from the lunch box to the trash can to the underpants is from the official "Ninja Turtle" catalogue. This is only made worse by the fact that I'm kind of wondering where I can get some official Bulldog underpants.

And second, my family tends to run with these things for years on end. I fear that, a couple of years from now, it won't be possible to walk into my office without wearing sun glasses, what with all the red items that will be in it.

Hope you are having a wonderful holiday season, whether it be a Merry Christmas or something else, and may your New Years be great as well.

Yoda out...

4GB Nano....I'm already attached to this. I also got some cables to go with it so I can connect it to my receiver in my living room. Oh, the parties I'll be having with this thing as the DJ.
