Matrix musings
Over the last three days I have watched the Matrix trilogy ( and will probabbly watch the AniMatrix tonight) just trying to figure out it all went wrong.

Anyone got any thoughts?

Once I "got" the first one I really understood what was going on and it maed all teh KA action a lot better than I thought it already was....

Well then Matrix 2 comes out teh action was pretty good.... but they add to the complexity of the story to its detriment. Also Morpheus's speach feels contrived...so did the love triangle being developd between Naobi, Morpheus, and Locke. The whole dialougue between Neo and the Architect really ticked me off...that this was the 6th time this had happened... he was a varaible in an equation ect...

Then you have Matrix 3.... the gun fight at the end was outstanding action cinema.... but hte battle between Neo and Agent Smith was NOT. While fitting with what the laid out in 2 I don't like the fact that Neo and Smith are Yin and Yang + and - ect.... and they are used to balance the equation. I was especially upset that at the end they suggest that the Oracle and the Architect were in fact playing war games inside the Matrix..... reason I say that is the matric "view" gets rolled back as soon as Neo dives ito Agent Smith.... so the whole sunset and coversation between the two at the end is in the "REAL" world. It makes you feel punked.

Ohhh well back to regularly scheduled programming.

The Matrix has tremendous religious implications and undertones.

I suggest listening to "Navras" by Juno Reactor from the soundtrack ... and then look up its lyrics, specifically, the English translation of those lyrics ... as they are taken straight out of the Upanishads.
