Deng and Ebi are Coach K's primary targets now for 2003 recruiting.

Do you think that Coach K will land one, both, or none?

IMO, he only gets one of the two.

Good point Harry.

I just don't see how Coach K can possibly keep all 10-12 McDonald's All-Americans happy, get them playing time, and create team chemistry.

Why not go to a school like Arizona, where you could be the "MAIN MAN", also play with very very good players, under a Hall-of-Fame coach, at a basketball powerhouse, and vie for the national championship every year??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="confused.gif" />

I think it's the whole ACC tradition. I think a lot of players would love to play for Duke, UNC, Maryland, etc. and not be THE man to play with that particular team. No other conference has that glow about it like the ACC does.

some guys would join some of the lesser teams in the ACC just to play against the upper crust teams. How do you think Maryland got good in the first place?

You think that Deng is going to FAIRFIELD? That sounds like a bit of a stretch, IMHO. Now I know that his brother plays there, but he can do better than that. I'm guessing missouri.

Ebi is too smart to jump the gun with his 195 lbs frame.

Deng values his education too much, also.

We'll get Deng, Ebi is a question mark.

Fairfield is on the fringe of being a big time program. If they land a decent prospect watch out. I think Deng could be that reruit.

If they want to become a big time team, they have to leave the MAAC, that's definate.
