So I'm back from vacation in Maine. First time I ever visited there.

Here are some observations.

1. Lobster may be cheaper in ME, but it's not cheap!

2. The lines on roads are faded in ME, presumably from the weather, so it's hard to know where the lanes are. But that doesn't seem to bother ME people, b/c they don't seem to care much about driving in any one lane.

3. People really are still preppy in ME. It was wonderful.

4. We went to an amusement park in Scarborough (just south of Portland) called Funland. Their roller coasters suck, but their freefall ride was great. It was worth the discounted ticket price, if you go on a weekday before schools are out.

5. Don't expect the 68mi drive to New Hampshire to be around an hour. US 302 is a 2-lane highway w/ scads of small towns. Yet it is the main thoroughfare.

6. Lots of help wanted signs in ME and NH. Good deal if you're looking for a summer job.

7. Maine girls are cute. Consistently, they were very attractive. All the more reason to consider #6 more closely.

Damn Torch, at least EZ would have brought some pics back.

Maine rocks! Did you make it to Acadia Natl' Park? That place is sweet, though a bit crowded when I went. Wished I woulda spent more time in Portland. Though Bangor kicked ass. Wanted to make it up to Caribou, but didn't have the time. Also, the back roads are sweet.
