That's wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much work for something small and unobtrusive. We had group badges on Invision much larger than these and nobody complained.

This is just irrational. Let me give you the same mindset.
I hate UGA. They're my team's big in state rival. Their colors are red and black.
The navigation must be changed. It's black.
The logo must be changed. It's red with a black border.
All the text must be changed. It's black.
All the emoticons must be changed. They have a black border or black in them.
The help icon must be changed. It has red in it.
The memberlist icon must be changed. It has red in it.
The bold/italic/underline/dropdowns/text align/youtube/code buttons above where you make a post must be changed. They contain black and/or red.
All the new group icons must be changed. The contain black and/or red.
I mean really. Should we lobby Mozilla and Microsoft to change the RSS icon? It has orange in it. Perhaps we could talk to NASA about changing the color of that pesky orange sun.
And of course if we change it from orange ... we'd have to select another color. Bet it would be somebody else's rival's color ...
SCConway Wrote:Secondly, if you must have them, make them transparent to blend in with the backgrounds or move away from the rectangular shape. Makes it look bad overall.
We might make them rounded cornered or something, but really .... take a look around... nearly the ENTIRE SITE is made out of rectanges. Making them transparent defeats the purpose of them. Then it's just boring old text. There's some inside jokes hidden in them 'thar icons.
