Really, I don't listen to much "new" stuff, and I'm not in tune with anything that's off the beaten path. I stick to the trusty old rock n roll, when I actually listen to music, that is. Gettin' older, I tend to listen to talk radio more often.
In the mid-to-late-90's everyone either sounded like Hootie or Alice in Chains, and it lost me. I grew up a member of the "hair band generation", and still prefer the likes of Motley Crue to anything that came out since about 1995. Even today, all the "new" music sounds the same to me.
That, and I don't really buy many CD's anymore, and I don't use any file-trading software to download any. I'm just out of touch, I guess.
I check out the Groove Lounge, but really don't have a clue who most of the bands are that are talked about on there.

That's damn funny Blah. "It's a media conspiracy" is off the charts! I praticularly like the Daft Punk remix.
