I thought I would see a post game discussion this morning between the Pack and Sparta fans!!!
Strange week for the Broncos...playing Portland State. PSU really has a very small fan base and no internet presense to speak of...
Going to miss the pre-game smack that we regulary get during game week...
Oh Well, next week, we can mix it up with the Spartan fans.

I guess it's no fun to come to the Pack board and talk smack if you lose 03-wink

The only discussion I've seen is on Spartan Thunder calling out Pack fans who complained about SJSU fans who threw batteries and other items.....and one even blamed Ault (he really blamed Alt, but I think he meant our coach) for making up such a story, which is pretty rediculous, considering it was from a Reno reporter who saw it happening at the game and wrote about it.

Let me be the first Spartan to say congrats to the Wolfpack. Unfortunately I was not able to make it to the game but I did read some comments on the other board. It sounds like we had a solid game but not good enough to beat a talented Nevada team. Word is that their QB is pretty good and some have said that Nevada could be the 3rd best team in the WAC.

As for the battery chuckers, it became a Bay Area tradition since some Giants fans started it years ago. An unfortunate incident that makes all of the fans and school look silly. I know similar things have happened at other WAC schools but it is still unacceptable.

We have a full blown QB controversy (at least from the fans on the other site) which is not going to help us any. I wish we had the Nevada QB. That would end the discussion right there.

Silly questions, but did any of Wolfpack fans on this site stop by Anthony's tailgate? I heard he had an olive branch to go along with the beers.

I won't pretend that it doesn't happen at other schools....in fact, I think it happens at most, if not all schools and a few bad apples make everyone look bad. That being said, some schools are worse than others. Nevada fans have been much better this year. I think that the arrest of one guy who hit UNLV coach (John Robinson) with a plastic bottle a few years ago was the last straw and the attitude at Mackay has been much better. I know that a player's dad who made the trip to SJSU was pretty disgusted with how he and other Nevada fans were treated....and that's coming from someone who had been to every game, home and away, for four years. I think a lot of it stems from the seating arrangements.

I don't think that anyone from Nevada made it to Anthony's tailgate.

PS....the Wolfpack is North Carolina State. Nevada is the Wolf Pack....just fyi.

GOOD GAME IS ALL I CAN SAY TO THE PACK!

Who is the wacky gal wearing that wolf head mask, and was walking around with a cut off spartan head in her hand?

Wow, how did the battery thing not make bigger news? One Fresno fan (allegedly) threw a Screwdriver at June Jones's head and it makes national news.

Two reasons....first, Nevada's coach didn't throw a fit like June Jones did (especially considering the screwdriver was dropped by a Hawaii equipment guy) and second, nobody got hurt. The RGJ writer just happened to be right there....probably the only member of the press that saw it happen.
