The Big 10's off to a good start.

I think most probably saw the Grand Valley St 85 - Michigan St 82 score from last week. Tonight.... we have Findlay 70 - OSU 68!

As a USF fan, I am glad that the Bulls now have something better to look forward to with Stan Heath as the new coach. USF got a steal during the off season with the hiring of Coach Heath if you ask me. I am glad that Arkansas fired him, so that they could fail going after Billy Gillispie. USF may not win right away, but I know that Heath will eventually build the program up even in this tough BIG EAST. I cant wait to see what happens this season.

Now if C-USA could just get another few decent teams people wouldn't think so poorly of them.

Hell, even when C-USA was ranked as the 6th best basketball conference (UC, Memphis, UL, Marquette, UNCC all good teams) it didn't get respect... not going to get it with just Memphis now.

Let us know if you find out who Beilein loses to. Maybe Washtenaw Community College will give UM a test.

You mean Memphis holds down #3. As long as Calipari is there, Memphis has the potential to continue to succeed at a high level. They are succeeding at a high level inspite of their CUSA affiliation.

So much for Ohio State's votes, and Michigan's ranking (again). 03-lmfao

We missed the tourney ONE year..... last year. And people act like no one else from C-USA has ever gone to the Tourney. UAB is back and we will win 23+ games this year. Book it.

Blazer, you are certainly the #2 team in CUSA. You were dismissed in this thread, but short memory spans seems to be the name of the game now in college sports, and it's easy to forget when a team that's rarely on TV loses its coach, misses the tourney one year, and isn't getting publicity for the upcoming season.

I don't think it was incorrect for someone to say Memphis is #3 in spite of CUSA at this point. Perhaps that will change, as the league was gutted and will take time to regain even a fraction of what it lost. UAB will have to be a key part of that for the league to improve, because the other 10 in the league has not shown the ability to get an at-large bid this decade.

Memphis BB is more than just Calipari. You speak of things you know nothing about.

I know that inquite a few years preceding Calipari coming to Memphis, that Mempis was nowhere near the level that calipari has taken the program. It seems to me that he has lifted the program to a higher level than I can ever remember. But if you think that losing a good coach like Calipari would not impact your program negatively, you have alot to learn about college basketball.01-wingedeagle

I hate to think about the inevitable retirment of coach Boeheim. There is no gaurantee that our next coach will keep the program at an elite status. And Syracuse is a top 10 team in both wins and winning percentage, and currently leads all programs nationally in consecutive winning seasons by far at 37 years. I could say that Syracuse is more than Jim Beoheim, but no other coach has done for the Cuse what Beoheim has done.

I was actually giving Memphis and Calipari some props, because it really is impressive that he can take Memphis to such a high level playing in Cusa. Its too bad that you are so sensitve that you dont know a compliment when you see one.

You should make the tourney this year. Mike Davis is a heck of a coach and a better person. The don't come any better in the coaching than Mike.
