Nice, Utah State is favored! I didn't see that coming.

Boise is still the measuring stick and everybody knows that. That being the case, I'm pumped that Tech is favored over UH. Would you Boise guys say that you played a sloppy game or were you on point and UH still gave you a run for your money? If the latter is true, the WAC is wide open. It could be a very exciting season.

Don't let the boxscore fool you. Hawaii let a 20-7 halftime lead wither down. But the 2nd half was a shootout. After Hawaii's last TD the game had a last-second field goal or OT written all over it. And then the special teams let Hawaii down for the 3rd time that night. Blocked PAT..42-41, but no...they had to return it for 2 more points... :D Great game though..Brennan is looking like a great QB, and the Defense is playing hard (allowed just 3 Offensive TD's the last two games, and no rushing touchdown the last two games)

BSU played like crap the first half, but don't overlook the
Warriors, this isn't the same team that prowled the WAC the last few years, these dudes play hard and are going
to win a lot of games, the Broncos were lucky to escape.
GO BRONCOS TO WAC BEAT THE GOATS

Hawaii defense hits hard. Glandville has them playing sound ball.
Fresno will have their hands full on the Rock.
Broncos have that big ole Target painted crimson on their back. Everyone's number one game. Tough for our boys to point to every game as their number one game.
The WAC could end in a 3 way tie for first......

Based on the point spreads, I would take
Nevada - 10 Nevada is usually tough at MacKay.
Hawaii + 5 . Hawaii is due to win one or come close on the road.
SJSU + 4.5. Tomey has these guys playing hard.
Fresno State - 26. Fresno looks good, and NMSU is struggling.

Hawai'i is much improved. Their running back Iliaoa (sp?) is a good one; tough and fast with vision. And that's a dimension their run and shoot never really had. Add in that their new QB looks alot better to me than Chang, and they've got 2 very good freshmen receivers and their offense has actually improved alot.
The real difference to me is thier D. Fast and aggressive and getting better every week with the new scheme. I won't even try to spell most of their name because they're all polynesian, which also equates to 'loves to hit'. One DB in particular, Lolo Manners, is a big time stud. Huge for a DB (at least on tv he looked huge) and great cover skills, and he hits like a LB.
We had them at their place and they're really good there no matter what. We'll see if they take that game to Ruston. If they do, it will be a long day.

I highly recommend taking Fresno and giving the points... In fact BET the FARM, 401k, childrens college funds, everything you got. The Dogs will win by 40

UH has owned Tech in recent years, no doubt. However, I think we're due. We've got the best defense we've had since I can remember and the Joe is becoming an increasingly difficult place to play. After the taunting of the fans and team last time they were in Ruston, look for the Dawgs to come out with a chip on their shoulder. I don't know much about betting, but I'm betting about $50 worth of gas that the game is worth seeing in person...I hope I'm right.

UH at Louisiana Tech will be a good game, but there won't be any gift wrapping this time.
The WAC's #1 Total Offense vs. the WAC's #1 Total Defense.

This is the WAC. When it comes to offense vs. defense, offense wins! :)
I think Hawaii will be more competitive on the road this for one reason: No more giving other teams 4 interceptions. Timmy was great, but for some reason he was so turnover-prone on the road that it made things difficult to win. So far in Hawaii's road games against Michigan State and Idaho, there were zero turnovers in both games.
Hard to tell how good LaTech is at this point. They've lost to some good teams and easily beat some not-so-good ones. Kind of like how Hawaii was before they played Boise. The one thing I'm looking forward to is not having Ryan Moats hang 250 yards on us this year.

I think the LaTech/Kansas score is a little misleading. Statswise, LaTech hung right with KU, but was done in by 4 ints.
At this point, I'm viewing Hawaii/LaTech as the battle for 3rd and 4th, and thinking Nevada is lucky to get both at home this year.

We miss Ryan quite a bit. Not only was he a great running back, he was a great kid. We wish him all the luck in the world. However, watch out for his heir apparent. Patrick Jackson showed flashes of greatness last game. He's a gamer and will be tough to stop on those fresh legs. I'm pumped for this game. The weather is gonna be great. High of 75 and sunny. It's gonna be great football weather come 6 o'clock.

Kansas had 4 scoring drives under 30 yards...yeah, I'd say the score was a tad misleading.
