Boise State and UNT had the longest Conference winning streaks in the nation...now Boise State has the longest current winning streak in the nation.

Hey Tech fans, this UNT team looks real beatable.

I watched a little bit of the game (3rd quarter, mostly). Two things struck me:
1. NT was getting pushed around. I think Troy outrushed them something like 280 to 100, and rushing is supposed to be NT's strength. It's surprising the score was that close.
2. Stands looked VERY empty...about 10K, maybe.

Sure did.

I knew I was in trouble when my wife walked by, looked at the game, asked who those teams were and said "Jeez, you'll watch any game won't you."

Yep, Troy vs North Texas on a Tuesday night - nothing more then a quick fix for a hardcore fan.

By the way, that roughing call on the Troy defense on the last mean green drive on fourth down was a homer call.

1. I saw that as well. NT looked slow and undersized, especially on the lines (and that's from their BW days). They either have taken a huge step backwards or life in the sunbelt has caught up with them.

2. nothing's changed.

I watched Troy play Northern Illinois in the Silicon Valley Bowl. While NIU was clearly, bigger and more athletic, I felt Troy was exceptionally well coached. If they can get the atletes and retain their coach, Troy will be making some statements. 04-bow

Very much so. Finally, we've got a good defense. I think we'll crush their O-Line. From what I hear, their D isn't very good either. This could be a blow-out...at least I hope. Lord knows we would love a homecoming blow-out. We'll worry about them after we get done with UH and Nevada. I always get nervous about our 3-4 when we play the Boise's and UH's of the world. Luckily we've got some very fast LB's.

Back to the thread...I almost feel sorry for UNT. They were very pumped about this year and for good reason. Oh well, I hope the dawgs bring their hats for the rest of the season and take it to the teams we should beat while we shock the teams we shouldn't.
